I have for
sale a pair of 9X15 Fuchs and a pair of 10X15 magnesium
Minilite wheels. They are a duplicate set
that I have had for many years. I do not have a use for
two set of these rare wheels so I am offering them for
sale. I prefer to sell them as a set rather than
in pairs. All four wheels have been recently refinished
by Weidman and since then have not had tires mounted on
them.
The early 9X15
Fuchs have become increasingly difficult to find. What
makes these Fuchs super rare is the 3/71 date code on
both. In March 1971 Porsche had only one use for a 9X15
Fuchs, and that was the rear of a 911ST. No other Porsche
was using this size Fuchs wheel. Porsche designated the
7X15 on the front and 9X15 on the rear as a stock 911ST
configuration. Racers soon replaced the stock 7's and 9's
with wider wheels; 8 or 9X15 Fuchs on the front and 10X15 Minilites on
the rear. This is the configuration often seen in vintage
photos and that is what I am offering for sale.

The 10X15
magnesium Minilites were used due to the fact that it was
the widest wheel you could fit under an ST's 10" rear
flare. Fuchs had nothing wider than a 9" at the time, and
when they finally offered the 11X15 the following year for
the '73RSR, it was too wide to fit the rear ST flare
without fender modification. These Minilites are in
perfect condition. No cracks or corrosion prior to
refinishing and are now worthy of any Concour event, as
are the Fuchs.
