American made Webers have no origin markings on the exterior of the float bowl. The manufacturing process lacks the attention to detail as compared to Italian Webers. Typically, the castings are crude, the butterflies are not synchronized and the position of transition holes can be somewhat random.
Italian made Webers are clearly labeled as 'Made in Italy' on the exterior of the float bowl. Italian made Weber's have high quality castings and are precisely machined. Butterflies are carefully synchronized and transition holes are properly positioned.
