RSR Throttle Bodies ~ 934.5 ~ 935 ~ 962

RSR Throttle Bodies a.k.a. High Butterflies:   One Pair - Refurbished and re-machined yellow zink plating service flow tested, ready to run.   Estimate: Please call.*

*There are two main types of factory High Butterflies that are seen today.

1) The worn out factory-assembled kind: These will require new bushings, a small overbore, new throttle plates. Occasionally one or more throttle shafts and/or couplers need to be replaced. Price will vary depending on parts needed.

2) The kit kind: Sold through Vasek Polak for years beginning with very complete kits and then with fewer original parts as time went on. Quality of the finished product is variable: Some were assembled with necessary skill using the factory parts. For example, a number of kits from the '70s through the '90s were carefully assembled by Norbert Eberhardt, the founder of Eurometrix. These will not have assembly-related issues but could have wear issues, depending on use. Price similar to #1 above. Many kits were assembled without the needed attention to detail and with missing or fabricated parts. It is common to see High Butterflies with the wrong shaft couplers, throttle plates that don't fit properly, missing rear return springs and without shims. Because they never worked properly to begin with they don't have wear issues. They need to be carefully reassembled with the correct parts. No machine work may be required but could be costly depending on missing parts.
